Norway is ready to buy 222 big Airbus and Boeing planes. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA is a budget carrier, but it has made ambitious plans to move forwards. The ASA has enjoyed expansion over the years and is ready to put money down to buy more planes, so that the airline can fly more routes. The ASA said they chose to buy from both Airbus, a European company, and Boeing, an American manufacturer. The aim was to maintain an air of competition between the two plane manufacturers, get flexibility and dependability, in its use of two different types of planes.
