Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA expanding

Norway is ready to buy 222 big Airbus and Boeing planes. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA is a budget carrier, but it has made ambitious plans to move forwards. The ASA has enjoyed expansion over the years and is ready to put money down to buy more planes, so that the airline can fly more routes. The ASA said they chose to buy from both Airbus, a European company, and Boeing, an American manufacturer. The aim was to maintain an air of competition between the two plane manufacturers, get flexibility and dependability, in its use of two different types of planes.

Air travel in solar storm

The solar storm that has been brewing since Sun, Jan 22, 2012, is going to affect people’s lives. The radiation from solar flares may affect satellite communications and airplane navigation. Planes flying over the Poles may be influenced by the changes in the magnetic fields. The flares are shooting out from the sun, and will likely continue until Wed, Jan 25, 2012. Astronauts in the International Space Station may be affected by the increase in solar activity.

Chanel fashion show airplane

Chanel has held its latest fashion show in mid air! A plane was specially chartered and its interior was decorated to resemble a runway. The Chanel Haute Culture Show was exhibited for a select number of invited audience. The catwalk was in the middle of the airplane. Air pasengers had their own seat numbers , which were assigned beforehand, like in a real flight.

Beware of airplane germs

A doctor has claimed airlines do not clean their airplanes sufficiently. An aircraft may host billions of germs and viruses in blankets and pillows, dirty tray tables and floors. The bathroom is also no cleaned sufficiently to get rid of unsanitary germs.
