President Barack Obama ended NASA’s space shuttle program at the Kennedy Space Center. Some 7000 employees lost their jobs. Obama said he wanted NASA to refocus and send a mission to Mars. Nasa, Boeing and Space Florida have a deal to build a commercial passenger spacecraft. This will create a maximum of only 550 jobs.
